Sussex Schools Challenge – Walton Heath – 30th August 2015

We had a great day out at Walton Heath yesterday, sadly not fielding our strongest side, indeed playing with only five of our required six players. Simon Chapman from Ardingly kindly stood in and partnered Jeremy Waud in the morning, leaving Alex Fleet out top partnered with Rick Holgate and Dan Burstow playing with Mike Harrison. Brighton turned out to be too strong for everyone winning 11 points out of a possible 12 on the day. There was talk of moving the event to West Sussex GC to ring the changes for 2016, but this now seems unlikely for what proves to be a very friendly and popular event for us as well as Eastbourne, Lancing and Brighton schools old boys teams.
