OHJGS Seniors Tour to Norfolk

Ian Pilcher again managed to muster a healthy crowd for his Norfolk seniors tour between 27th to 30th June 2016.

He was joined by Secretary Rick Holgate, Captain Graham Negus and his long suffering partner Hazel, John Waterfall, Patrick McGahan, Jeremy Waud, Nick Budge, Willie Welch, Ed Welch, Tony Travers and his son Giles as his guest, Julian Knott, Jim Fawcett, Dudley Stratford, Keith Jenkin, Derick Fulcher, John Fraser and Roger Goodacre. The weather was kind on day one at Royal Worlington in Cambridgeshire. This round was convincingly won by Patrick McGahan who was swiftly cut after his most impressive haul of 41 points. Day two at Hunstanton was a very wet affair with John Fraser taking top honours with 32 points closely followed by Jeremy Waud on 30.

The final round was played at Swaffham GC courtesy of our local man IW Pilcher. John Fraser ‘IPC’ went into the last round as leader on tour and proceeded to win the last round as well with an impressive score of 35 points – he accordingly was the tour winner with Nick Budge in second place and Giles Travers in third. Lots of fun and many thanks to our organiser for another fine event.
