Norfolk Tour & The Royal Wimbledon Putting Final

A good turnout again for the Norfolk Tour this year, including 2 visitors from the Antipodes, Messrs Travers and Dancy.

Play was at Swaffham GC, a cool and breezy Hunstanton and finishing at Thetford in warm conditions.

The tour was won again by serial victor, John Fraser. Prizes were kindly donated by our man from across La Manche, Jim Fawcett.

Our thanks to organisers Ian Pilcher and Angus Stewart.

A similar tour is proposed for 3-5 June 2024.

Putting Final Report.

Millfield won the Gordon Thorburn Schools Putting Trophy at Royal Wimbledon on Thursday 15th June by a decisive margin from runner up King’s Taunton after a play off against Marlborough.

Hurstpierpoint finished 6th place, effectively from a field of 32 entries at the start of this event.

Congratulations to Dan Burstow who scored 10 points from 7 matches in the Final making him the third best putter at the Final. There were strong supporting roles from our other team members Chris Hobbs, Alex Fleet & Joe White
