Mellin 2021
Mellin 2021
The team had an enjoyable albeit unsuccessful couple of days.
The host course, West Hill at Woking, was magnificently presented and it was a privilege to play in such perfect, dry, summer conditions.
A number of schools have struggled this year to assemble their top teams, but despite this we did not play well enough to make any progress.
One welcome, new face in the team was Peter Masters, who had a fine win with Angus Stewart in their morning round.

Secretarial Note.
For those that aren’t aware, the Mellin is played by the second group of 16 schools that signed up for the Halford Hewitt. It is a very prestigious competition in amateur golf and like the Hewitt is scratch foursomes. We need our better over 55’s to make themselves available for future years as your Secretary should only attend as a supporter. Please look out for the dates of next year’s event when they are released and put them in your diary.
