Hurst Qualify 2nd in Grafton Morrish

Following on from our run of improved form that we saw at the Halford Hewitt in April, yesterday we qualified in 2nd place out of seventeen schools in our Grafton Morrish regional qualifier at Knole Park for the first time in this scratch foursomes event.

Captain Dan Burstow lead us out partnered by Alex Fleet and they scored an impressive 30 scratch points. In our second string was Paul Turrell and George Atkins scoring a solid 28 points. Our last pair was Jeremy Waud and Chris Hobbs who managed 26 points and looked a little weary – they had already played 18 holes in a Walton Heath competition earlier in the day teeing off at 7.25 before dashing over to Sevenoaks for this one!

Well played everyone and we will now be returning to Hunstanton and Brancaster for the finals between 5th -7th October, where Dan has already booked a house for us for the trip – guests and visitors always welcome!.
