A lucky few have just returned from an excellent weekend in Eastbourne. Despite another pitiful turnout, those that supported the Society at the Autumn Meeting were treated to a very enjoyable couple of days on the Sussex Coast. Our Captain, Matt Isepp, had worked very hard to arrange this meeting at two new venues and
Despite an appallingly low turnout the vast majority of participants enjoyed their day at the RAC Country Club. We were blessed with a nice day so soon after the wet and windy weekend. We played for the President’s Cup in the morning on the Old Course. Conditions were testing with fast running fairways and extremely
Sadly we didn’t have a terribly successful time at the Mellin this year. West Hill was presented in good condition as usual and we were blessed with warm sunshine. In the over 65’s event, The Peter Burles, we faced Felsted and we lost 1.5:0.5 In the Plate our 1st pair, Tony Travers & John Fraser
A good turnout again for the Norfolk Tour this year, including 2 visitors from the Antipodes, Messrs Travers and Dancy. Play was at Swaffham GC, a cool and breezy Hunstanton and finishing at Thetford in warm conditions. The tour was won again by serial victor, John Fraser. Prizes were kindly donated by our man from
On a warm spring day, 20 OJ’s and 2 guests met at West Sussex GC for the Spring Meeting on 3rd May. The course was in excellent condition as always and there were some good scores. The morning Stableford competition for the Gibbs Cup was won by Mark Baldock with 41 points off 10 handicap.

The latest annual Sussex Schools match was played under glorious late summer sunshine at West Sussex GC on 18th September. After the heat of August, the recent rain had certainly benefitted the course and it was in excellent condition. This schools quadrangular match is played between Hurst, Lancing, Brighton and Eastbourne and is 36 holes
We have just held the 2022 Autumn Meeting at Royal St. George’s and Royal Cinque Ports. We were privileged to be hosted at these venues once again although the attendance was disappointing. The meeting started with an excellent vegan free breakfast at George’s before setting out to take on the Open Championship Course. We played
We returned to the RAC this year to face a fast running track with baked fairways and punishing rough. 15 of us braved the Old Course and Rob Huxford won through on countback from Paul Ruddlesdin with 38 points. Your President & Secretary both scored 34. Our Hon. Member Jeremy Williamson won the Guest Prize
