2022 Summer Meeting at the RAC Epsom
We returned to the RAC this year to face a fast running track with baked fairways and punishing rough.
15 of us braved the Old Course and Rob Huxford won through on countback from Paul Ruddlesdin with 38 points.
Your President & Secretary both scored 34. Our Hon. Member Jeremy Williamson won the Guest Prize with 37 points.
We retired to the Spike Bar Terrace for lunch with the twin threat of thunder and rain lurking. Fortunately it wasn’t necessary to dive for cover and we enjoyed a 3 course lunch washed down with plenty of the Club’s White Burgundy.
It was decided to play 9 holes of foursomes on the Coronation Course. This was won by Rob McCowen and his young accomplice Ed Fairfax who were separated by a mere 54 years!!
We are grateful to RAC members Nick and Andy for joining us and reducing the cost of the green fees.
